Does anyone know a sure fire method of how to get rid of Fruit flies (in an apartment dwelling)? - dwelling fire policy

Reduced fruit shop a month ago. A day later I noticed the flies on the walls. Now they have an apartment in every room. I have all kinds of insecticide on the market. I think they love. I fall for them homemade. I have hundreds of them in traps, but it seems to help reduce their population.
You can imagine what it is like trying to eat with these things in the air. It's crazy to go.
